RnR TRI CAMPS Testimonials

Sam Murphy and Jeff Pyrah - Cornwall

This is a top quality camp, which is why we're back for the fifth time!

Funny and amazing world class coaches, stunning-location, awesome campers and super resort staff and guests keep making every camp somehow better than the last.

If you are looking for an addictive week of awesome Tri fun in the sun and 7 days of laughter and life altering photo opportunities then you can’t go wrong with RnR and Neilson.

I had an absolutely awesome time – I was a little anxious in the week or so before the camp, as I am new to the sport; I was attending without my wife; and I generally did not know what to expect.  The small numbers and closeness of the group ensured everyone was made to feel welcome, and the coaches were terrific at ensuring that you didn’t leave with more questions than answers.  The location and facilities are spot-on; and while you think that a week of training might jade you for the sprint on Saturday, I was chomping at the bit to race; and have brought home a new lease of life outside my busy workload.

Brian Tracey - England

RnR TRI Camps provide a great active holiday in a beautiful setting. The coaching allows triathletes of all abilities to challenge themselves and return home feeling fitter, refreshed and motivated.

Tanya (Neil and Poppy) Odam-Haslett - St Albans

Family holiday and Triathlon camps are not something you would normally associate together.  However RnR Tri camps are the exception to the rule.  Not only can your loved one push themselves to the limit, learn new skills and talk triathlon to their hearts content but there is also something for the rest of the family too.  There is the most amazing kids club run by Nielson staff were your little darling can have their own adventures which range from sailing to treasure trails and much more in between. However a note of warning, it does result in your children having such an amazing time that they will be reluctant to spend it “en famille”. Case in point, at the Triathlon race held on the last day of the camp, no amount of ice cream bribes from the Head Coach Ryan Bowd could persuade our daughter to miss her sailing regatta to support Daddy who was racing in it!  As for the non-triathlete within the family, you can do as much or as little as you want.  Nielson has a fabulous range of inclusive activities.  My personal favourite is the “mummy club” which is exclusive to RNR Tri.  Personally I would recommend  to any triathlon widows out there to book on the next RNR Tri camps asap.  Not only will you win valuable brownie points but you’ll also have a fantastic holiday.  What’s not to love!

My first RnR Tri Camp was a life changing week with fantastic people & outstanding coaching in a beautiful setting. Although I had only booked to learn some beginner basics, I found that the camp gave me the confidence to aim much higher, having spent the week with inspirational athletes & coaches. The camp gave me the insight, support and self-belief I needed to go on to successfully complete my first Ironman 70.3. My next goal is Ironman Austria & I see a 3rd RnR Tri Camp as being a vital part of my physical & mental preparation.

Mandi Francis - Milton Keynes

Being a beginner I must admit I was very apprehensive leading in to the camp. However, my fears were immediately put to rest as the camp really does cater for all levels & everyone was made to feel so welcome. The coaching was amazing & I learnt a ridiculous amount in a very warm & supportive environment. The highlight of the week for me was the Goat Island swim & the Sivota International Triathlon, only surpassed by the end of camp award party! At the end of the week I came away with a massive confidence boost and a new support network of great friends & mentors.

I've had the pleasure to attend the last two R&R Tri Camps in Sivota and would recommend them to anyone looking for a well-balanced training week in the sun. What's unique about the camp is the mix of abilities from first timers to muti-Ironman finishers that get to train, learn and relax together. I've come back from each camp motivated for the season and with skills that have helped me achieve goals that I wouldn't have thought possible including finishing Challenge Roth this year.

Heidi Sweetman - London

I ventured onto my first RnR Tri Camp overweight, unfit and with a complete dread of lycra and neoprene! I was terrified I was going to be left behind. The team quickly saw my lack of confidence and gave me bucket loads of help, encouragement and guidance. They are humble, enthusiastic and bags of fun. The Retreat is a stunning venue & I've made some real friends for life. Not only that, but with guidance from Rich and the team, I have achieved more than I believed possible as a triathlete. Thank you!
